Galaxy S4 - Antutu benchmark and Specs Revealed

So it seems the GS4 has just posted a benchmark on Antutu. I really don't care about the actual score. What I find more interesting is that is shows that the phone is indeed the Exynos Octa, and a true world phone supporting GSM/WCDMA/LTE. One World, One Phone! Can this be true? I effing hope so.

Following screenshots were taken with a Nexus 4.

Not totally unexpected. Makes you wonder what those 1.93 ghz speeds rumoured to be we're actually from. 1.8 not massive different to the 1.7 in the HTC One.

It'll be interesting to see how the it compares the snapdragon 600.

It could also be possible that international and USA model have different chipset.

I think we'll have to wait for the real world use and power management of all the new devices. Specs are maxed out for the most part on all these new devices. It now will come down to software. One thing about Android is, not all Android devices run the same even with the same specs. This is where Samsung has excelled. Their version of Android is the smoothest running version of Android.

True, but Sense 4.1 was excellent too though. HTC really optimised it, so much so that the international One X gained over 1500 extra points on Quadrant after the optimisation.

HTC Sense really has moved on from its past faupars.... The fact that Sense 5 has dropped needless 3D altogether, should make it very snappy.


It's really looking like its going to come down to personal preference on these we flagships.

Looks like it also has capacitive buttons. Obviously we all agree scores do not really matter, but just shows phones are at a peak. That is not much different than the note 2 or nexus 4.

Key lime hasn't been released yet. There isn't enough time for Samsung to build touch wiz off of key lime now.

Key lime will be released on a nexus device first anyway. I don't think we'll see a new nexus before the S4.

Galaxy devices never come with the new Android OS.

The S2 came with Gingerbread as it was nearing its' end of life and the S3 came with ICS as it was nearing its' end of life.

Nothing released before may will have keylime pie. Google will have their conference and then the klp devices will launch. If this phone holds out that long then it may have it, but I'm thing it will be available in April.

What makes you think that? Those screen shots are from a nexus 4 and the capacitive touch under screen description is just general screen touch technology not buttons. . I imagine we won't find out until closer o the 14th but they are keeping things very tight lipped.

Read the description in the screen shots, does the capacitive touch mean the buttons? Those are based on the s4.

That is what he said. The latest, but nearing the end of its life cycle. The same way jellybean is nearing the end.

No it means the screen has capacitive touch as opposed to resistive touch.

Yeah you are right. HA, i forgot my GS3 came with ICS. Im sure it will come soon enough for USA owners since we wont get the S4 till probably June.

Now that we all pretty much agree that the specs wars have plateaued somewhat, OEM's will be looking at other ways to separate themselves. I think the overwhelming majority doesn't have a problem with Samsung's designs and build quality. The sales numbers would show this. What I do think will attract people is having a world phone they can use anywhere with any carrier. This would be a great feature to promote. Another area is Camera and Camera software. This is where HTC failed in my opinion. Trying to convince the general public that Megapixels don't matter will be a daunting task. The One X was a good looking device with a perceived solid build and great performance, but it flopped. So looks and perceived build quality are not enough.

You clearly never used one, because the international One X was not a lag fest and the HTC One is certainly not according to all the reviews.

Its bad enough we have to deal with android/apple fanboy nonsense posts in these forums without now dividing Android into further camps based on Android device manufacturer fanboy nonsense...

Samsung did so well because they did what Apple do very well.... Other than create a good device, more importantly they got the target marketing bang on. Pure and simple.
