Since this debate is going to be happening for the next year or so, let's all discuss in this thread :)

If I were to switch to Android right now, I would go with an HTC One! I watched the presentation. Yes, some features are cool but I prefer HTC One's build quality over S4's.

If I had to pick between these 2, I'd take the HTC One--far better design/build materials IMO, I prefer on screen buttons vs. physical home button, really don't like the Super AMOLED pentile displays). That being said, the One also has too many supposed problems/issues (battery, button position, camera, inability to turn off Blinkfeed) for me to switch to it either.

I'm good with my Note 2 for now, will wait to see what the Motorola X turns out to be and hopefully a vastly improved Nexus later this year.

I had my eyes on the HTC One primarily because of its inclusion of the IR transmitter. As I mentioned in another thread I used the IR on my phones extensively (controlling TV/dvd-player/cable-TV-box/stereo and so on) back in the day before it mysteriously disappeared a few years ago.

Now that the S4 will have the same feature the choice is not quite as clear for me anymore since I have been very happy with my current an previous Samsung phones.

Too early to tell.

I'm still waiting for reviews of the S4...

and I'm still concerned about real world, real life experience with the HTC One battery. Remember, the HTC One X got good battery reviews too, and the battery life of that overrated monstrosity was dreadful. I mean, dreadful.

Honestly, I'm not thrilled with Android's offering this year so far. At all.

The Nexus 4 failed me and blasted my faith in Google and the Nexus brand (and LG); Motorola is MIA for the moment; Sony Xperia Z isn't coming to the states (brilliant move Sony) and is getting only modest reviews.

For the first time in a while, the iPhone is back in the running. I am genuinely torn.
