I would not go there, not with previous Samsung tablets pretty much discounted continually so one would get a better tablet for just a little more cost.

I'm eyeing the larger first S tablet with price breaks as I don't see the second gen really interesting me because of the price regardless that it is 4:3 AR. Samsung is pretty much matching the Ipad Air 2 with its second gen and its first S is no slouch anyway.

Already the S does not come in 12.2. I already have a Tab Pro 12.2. Now I need a 15" that is not running Windows.

I think it is 1.5GB of RAM, not 2GB of RAM.

I don't carry my tablet and 9 inches are already too big for a pocket anyway. 20 inches are indeed too big for the couch.

Actually looks to be a nice tablet, I'll definitely drop by Best Buy and check it out as well. I've been looking for an Android tablet in the size of the iPad mini.

It definitely is 4:3 aspect ratio as I fooled with it yesterday. They did not have it in stock at that location or I would have picked one up to try it out at least.

Just giving folks a heads up as far as an alternative. A 10inch model is forthcoming as well.

I found out that there are two models of the S 8.0, one with 2GB and another with 4GB and possibly USB-C. Did the one you play with have USB-C? How did you like the build quality?

It had 2GB, did not notice a USB.
