Game Center quirk/bug/broken

I doubt this is interesting enough for most people, but has anyone else had a bug with the Game Center where it would popup an empty box and do nothing else? And if I try to play Chess, Game Center pops up after a few seconds each time I focus on the Chess window, making it impossible to play (and there’s nothing I can do in Game Center either).

Game Center keeps reloading

I've got the same problem: can't sign into Game Center (just get a blank baize skeumorph with a 'Cancel' button); but however often I quit the program, it reloads whenever I go to the Chess.

I have this problem as well. There are a few topics about it unfortunately.

Same problem here, and I tried all of the 'solutions' that I have seen in other threads

checked hosts file - I have the original version
fixed permissions - did nothing
reset pram - did nothing
signed on with the ios simulator in xcode - nothing
cleared gamekit cache - nothing

I did notice the following
if I try using my apple id & a bad password, it comes up as invalid. The same thing happens if I use a bogus apple id and password. So it seems that the game center app IS connecting & attempting to validate.


The only way I can figure out to play the games is to disconnect from the internet. Then the games will play - but it sort of defeats the entire purpose of Game Center
