Here's the situation I'm in.
------------------------------
I own a game (Age of Empires III). I want to download a modification for it.
The mod is easily downloaded, along with a Hotfix that fixes all bugs and glitches, but there are two problems I have.
----------------------------
NUMBER 1
For those of you who don't know, this game has things called "Civilizations", factions that you play as. The game is hardcoded to where you can only have 14 Civilizations in it. However, this limit is broken by the mod through the use of some programming.
In order to get it to where I can play AS all Civilizations, I need to delete the "AI" files for the game, in the folder for Age of Empires III under "Documents" and another folder, which in PCs is under the "Program Files".
As this is a MAC, the Program Files are under Applications. How would I access the individual AI files within the folder?
---------------------------
NUMBER 2
The game also has a limit on how many Civilizations you can play AGAINST. There is no solution for this program, but I can, and wish to, replace some of the Civilizations I can play against with others.
The way you approach this is by backing up your AI files before installing the modification, and then, upon installation, inserting the AI files into the AI Folder.
This is pretty much the same as Number 1: how do I access these folders?
--------------------------
IN CONCLUSION
I am a teenager, and my mother handles all of the computer work in our household.
I am posting here because, while she probably knows, I wish to possess the knowledge myself.
Thank you for your time.
