I would like to know how I can back my game's save data up. I don't want to loose where I am in my games.

So if I sync the app to iTunes, delete it from the iPad, then sync it back later, will it remember my game save data?

I'm pretty sure iTunes saves your app settings. Try and test it with an irrelevant app real quick and see if it works.

No it won't. It will only do that if you sync it from a back up. Unfortunately if you have iOS 4.0 installed you can't set up your iPad to sync from the other back up because the iPads current OS is only 3.0

...I'm assuming they're doing a restore anyway, so iTunes should save the app settings.

He can't do a restore from the iPhone backup unless his iPhone is running the same iOS version as his iPad.
