I am curious about different game stream performance over two different connection methods I tested today using Parsec on an M1 Mini connected via wifi.
My game pc is one floor below connected via ethernet to my 5g router. It is also on the same network as my mac studio which is also connected via ethernet on the same floor. My mini is one floor above directly above the studio. The router is on the other side of the unit.
My mini to 5g router over wifi streaming with parsec is ok... My rssi is 73. It chops here and there. Its definitely not seamless, but it works and I can live with it.
I thought today I could maybe get a better connection because my studio is closer to my mini then the router and so I connected the pc to the studio via ethernet and connected my mini to the studio over wifi. The performance was much worse. Both have wifi 6.
I can't run an ethernet cable to the mini. I thought the adhoc connection would be better but not so.
