Hey, have just been playing a bit of Call of Duty 4 on the ol' macbook pro, and decided that as i am mainly a console gamer, what is the best 'games controller' for mac? Possibly called Gamepads in the US, but here in the UK we call them simply 'controllers.'

I was also wondering if i should get Snow Leopard yet, as i was waiting for the bugs to be fixed before i bought it. Is there a noticeable performance increase with it?

Thanks,
Hector

That's a good question. I've been thinking of getting a controller for my iMac. I was wondering if you need a special type of controller if your playing games using parallels? I noticed Amazon has a variety of controllers campatible with macs, if that helps at all.

Pretty much any pc game controller will work on a Mac. I use the logitech wireless gamepad. The xbox 360 controller (wired or with the pc wireless adaptor) works fine if you download drivers from tattiebogle.net. You can also use a ps3 controller as wired or wireless, if you have snow leopard, as apple has kindly added drivers for it. The thing is that I don't think cod4 can use a controller. You can download controllermate and program it via keyboard emulation.
