I looked at a few threads here that involve gaming on OS 9 and specifically on the old iBook, but nothing that interests me.

I've been enjoying the hell out of Star Wars: Episode I Racer. I've been playing since it came out in 1999, and to this day, no racing game tops it. Nothing like hitting 1100mph on a jump that catapults you for two miles through the air :p

I've also installed Typing Tutor 5+ (an old Macintosh game) and some of the Doom series.

As far as games under classic (native OS 9) I see a lot more potential.

I tried installing Star Wars Dark Forces, and it was MAJOR rad, but the controls blow without a joystick. Ideas? I'm not going to carry a joystick on a plane with me.

So the request: games that will play fine under OS 9 or Tiger on this iBook Clamshell 366mhz, 320mb ram and 4mb vram.

I like 'fruity' looking games, much like the PopCap titles, or wireframe graphics. Very simple games that you can jump in and jump out, no saving and no real loading or screen resizing.

Thanks, in advance.

Stellar. God PenguPop (the Tux treatment to Snood :p) and it's rather nice. I've played it so many times in other incarnations via Flash.

I wish more of those PopCap-like games were available to play offline and WITHOUT Flash.

I checked out every game at MacintoshGarden in alphabetical order, ended up downloading two...done there XD
