i have a 2.4ghz 20" al imac with 1gb ram and the ati 2600, i know the drivers for the graphics card arent that great right now, but im about to upgrade my ram to 4gb, will that help with the performance of games. and will the release or leopard make games run better, sorry im kind of pissing in the wind here but, just wondering if anyone knows anything...

The answer to Leopard is you will find out when it gets here. There's no way to know that until the gold master hits the streets. My educated guess is that Leopard not only will be greatly optimized for the Intel Macs so it should run quite fast.
Ram does not make your computer run faster but rather it prevents slow downs. Multitasking and heavy programs eat up ram which forces the computer to access the hard disk to create virtual memory which slows things down. That being said, ,max it ram if you can afford it.

thanks and i understand how ram works, i was just wondering about people that actually have upgraded the ram if they have seen an increase in frames because of the more ram not having to use virtual memory so much and things like that....and i hope that leopard is all its cracked up to be.
