Gaming mouse for mac: g400/razer da

I am looking for my first gaming mouse ever. Finally taking the leap and see if it actually improves my gameplay. I was originally thinking I would like the g400 because it is the remake of a very popular mouse style but almost everyone I've asked recommends the razor mice and the deathadder seems to be in a decent price range. Im looking to spend around 40 bucks max and both models fall in that category.

Are one of these a good choice? and if so which one.

I am sure many more people know a lot more about gaming mice than I do so if I'm looking at the wrong ones please let me know.

Also, Im running my games with os x. Potentially getting bootcamp soon so the mouse has to be mac compatible (no surprise there in these forums).

Types of games I'm playing now are are Diablo 3 and potentially re-subbing my wow. so i would like it to work well for these games.

Have you considered the G500, I know you can get that for $40 or less. It's a good mouse and it's a upgraded G400 basically. You can control the dpi on the mouse if you need to change. And, there's one extra button on the left side which means you can bind more keybinds or spells/skills to that button.

Razer is good, if you ask anyone you'll either get a response where they'll love them or hate them. I don't play games anymore, but when I did I used a Naga, which was a really good mouse, and allowed me to bind every spell I have to the traditional 12 standard buttons on the left. I used modifiers for cooldowns, since I was a healer, but as DPS, I don't think you'd need to keybind more then 12. In diablo, you can keybind your skills in this format:

1-2-3
X-5-X
X-X-X
X-X-X

So you can use your standard four spells without pressing the buttons on the keyboard, and you can keybind 4/6 as health potion.

If you can't afford a Naga, then get the deathadder, but I think the G500 is better then the deathadder, since I like holding that mouse better.

thanks I'm drawn to the deathadder because it comes out of the box working with a mac, how hard will it be to bind skills/spells to these buttons? but i do like the g400 because it has more buttons, how does the da stack up? sorry I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff

if the death adder drivers work anything like other Razer drivers it should be very easy to bind ANYTING you could want to any buttons on the mouse

so it seems like the deathadder is a good choice for a gaming mouse? more so than logitech brands? Im actually leaning towards it myself, and will it be a good fit for WoW and D3?

I have read lots of posts on PC gaming forums, and they all seem to like either the logitech G400 or the DeathAdder. I don't think you can go wrong if those are your 2 choices!

I've been using the DeathAdder 3500 for over a year now and I love it. Works out of the box, has 2 side buttons to map actions to, has a long and durable cord, and the feel is phenomenal. Using it right now on a wood table and it tracks without a hitch. I move back and forth from my gaming PC to Mac - absolutely no issues.

Now, I do play D3 and I like to have the default bindings 1-4 on my keyboard but in Skyrim I have the 2 side buttons mapped to the map and quick screen (magic, items, etc). $44 on amazon right now.
