So I know there is alot of talk about gaming on the new iMac. I do a good portion of my gaming on consoles but I have a few questions. Has anyone tested WOW with max settings in **** to see what kind of Frame Rates they get? Also, what about some new software on the windows side, like Oblivion?

If nobody beats me to it, I'll load up WoW and test it out tonight.

I don't really play anymore but my account is still active.

Isn't the rendering in Shatt still bugged? Doesn't matter how powerful your system is... it'll still randomly crawl.

There was a bug that's been fixed. I tried posting the link to the thread but it was "Not Found". It was a texture bug though, so I don't know if it's different from this Shatt bug you're talking about.

EDIT: Err nevermind, that thread was gone on the WoW Forums..

Ok, forget about **** then if there is still a bug... how about Org? I would still like **** tried though.

I think I wound up with a funky Superdrive, or something went odd.

Not sure I can test anything tonight.

My drive wouldn't mount my WoW discs. It seemed to read my OSX Install Disc fine, but wouldn't read my iWork 08 CD. Very strange.

Trying some various fixes now...

Update Got the drive working, starting to install WoW (if I can stay awake that long, hah!). Something must have went wrong while migrating iTunes stuff from my PB G4.

Yeah, i Know its an old game and will run well, but i'd still like to see what FPS people get on WoW, and whether you can safely max out any of the graphics.

Anyone get a chance to test this for Wow or Oblivion?

I'm mostly looking for WoW in OSX with all settings maxed. Try a BC flight path or major city or raid.

My friend got a new 20" imac with the better graphics, he says that he got everything full and full resolution ang got 60-65 fps. (In windows xp)
