I was wondering if anyone has experience playing WoW on their MBP on an external 1080p (1920x1080) display.

How does it run, and what settings do you run at?

I have a 37" 1080p Westinghouse that I use as a computer monitor and hope to continue using once I buy a MBP, and I'd like to run WoW at the native resolution on this display.

Also, does anyone think there will be graphics card update in the next MBP revision? I am waiting for the next revision to buy so maybe it won't be a concern then.

I'd still like to know though

Thanks

i'm sure the current revision could run it just fine, but the card has been the same for a year now..personally i think they'll upgrade it next revision

I did it on my MBP C2D x1600 128mb; I was getting around 30fps (in WoW) or so with most of the settings turned up (this was in Undercity around 8pm durring a peak hour). I went DVI to HDMI on my Sony SXRD. Wasnt too bad, however, I had some cropping issues with it.

Let us know how it goes for you.

And I prey they upgrade this card in the next revision of the MBP

Try Outlands :p Half the FPS of a peak city time, haha.

If you run WoW in Windows with the video card overclocked to stock levels you can get some manageable FPS at 1920x1200 w/ the settings maxed. I did it when I had my 1920x1200 display mod in my MBP and it went well.
