I'm a console gamer but just came across this article on IGN about gaming on iMacs. In summary, IGN says that gaming on 27" iMac (EDIT - used late '09 iMac with the 2.66GHz i5 and the Mobility HD 4850) is "not too shabby"

Yeah, except they tested the late '09 iMac with the 2.66GHz i5 and the Mobility HD 4850. RIF.
