iPad mini Gaming on iPad mini 7 - it gets very warm!!!

I just updated my iPad mini 6 to the 7 and decided to try a few games. I downloaded Resident Evil Village and Alien Isolation. I have a Steelseries Bluetooth controller. I played Resident Evil Village for about 10-15 minutes and was surprised how hot the iPad got. Also tried Alien Isolation for a shorter period of time and didn't notice the heating problem. I realize that REV is one of the newer games that requires the better processor. Is this normal for the iPad mini to get so hot with this type of game? Thanks.

That game would make any of the iPads/iPhones heat up, yes.
