Hey Guys
I need help for me and a few friends.
What would be your ideal gaming setup.
Ps3 or Xbox
Imac or other ( Can iI connect a system to the imac ?)
Best Gaming Chair.
Any other must have games or accesories.

Thanks

Home made PC, Dell display, Razer mouse, Apple thin keyboard, Argos leather computer chair, Xbox 360 controller.

Comfy bed, DS.

Least expensive, buy a couple of consoles (your choice) and use a couple of tvs. This way if you play teams you won't all be on the same screen seeing what everyone else is doing.

On PS3 vs Xbox 360, have a look at the games and which are exclusive, go with the selection that appeals to you most.

Also may be worth looking at Project Natal for Xbox 360 and the Playstation Move.

Finally do you need Blu-Ray? If yes, then the PS3 is a very good Blu-Ray player as well.

+ PSN (free) vs Live (not free)

@OP: Consoles are way cheaper than building PCs but it's up to you, do you prefer playing on console or PC?

An iMac 27 inch with the quad core CPU. As for the console, well I have a PS3 Slim but I know all too well it's one of those things you can argue probably until the world ends!
Either way I would find a way to hook the console up to the iMac's screen unless your happy with an HD telly. If I hooked it up to the iMac I would then get a Logitech surround sound set and connect the console and mac to it via tos link.

Like Dagless a custom built PC. You can build a better quality PC that's way more capable and costs less than any retail option. And it will be UPGRADABLE. You can build one for not much more than the cost of a 360 or PS3 bundle with a couple of games.

I'm happy with my current setup. I have an i7 920 with a GTX 275, which is currently plugged into my Apple 30". For inputs I have a Belkin N52Te, G15 keyboard, G25 racing wheel, G35 3D gaming headset, G9 mouse -- Yes, I like logitech.

I also like console gaming, so own a Wii and a DS, but I like PCs overall, because it's where my friends game and some of the best games I've played have been on this platform. Online gaming is still best on the PC and it's free. Anyways, lots of ramble.
