What temps do you guys usually experience while gaming?

My MBA 13" Ultimate is connected to a 30" monitor. Playing Wow, the fan is always on at 6k RPM with temps in the low 80s (C).

Anyone experience similar?

Just to provide a bit of confirmation:

Playing Dragon Age 2, my fans ran at 6500rpm, CPU 80C and Heatsink B 40C

i'm impressed that it can even handle this, what kind of FPS are you getting at what settings?
you by chance didn't revert back to the old openGL engine in wow for better fps?

I also run WoW on my 11" 1.6, works like a charm. I'm getting about 70-80 degrees while gaming. No idea about fan rpm, I think they're alternating between max and "not quite max" since you can hear it go up/down sometimes.

About the fps, at quite low settings (high view distance, mid to low on most stuff, sunshafts, shadows and water on lowest since they suck a ton of cpu power) I get 20-25 fps in crowded cities, 30-50 in dungeons with lots going on, and in the 50-100 range while questing or doing other low-demanding things. Tooks some fiddling though, the above mentioned things should be low/off, and for example running fullscreen instead of windows gives 10-15 fps boost.

Actually I'm getting about 25-30 fps at 2560X1600. Good detail, with a few things set to low. Seems to handle it fine.

I haven't gone to the openGL engine.. might be worth checking out though if I could remember howto change it :)

EDIT: Just swiwtched to the old GL engine "set gxapi "OpenGL"

Got about another 10 fps.. good call. I use my high end Windows machine for my gaming. .but this is great for my travel! Thanks for the tip.

Are you guys using windows or osx?

OS X here too. Though about making a bootcamp partition, but since I need windows + WoW that would be a ton of space needed (30gb+ I believe) from my already crowded SSD :) Not worth it for a few extra fps imo.

Minecraft on my 15" 2.53 C2D puts the CPU VCore temp at around 175-180°F, which is right around 80°C. I run the fans at a constant 5000rpm, but sometimes they go higher.

I play SC2 on my MBA 11" and my CPU temperature runs in the 70-72C range with fans in the 5k-6k range, but I am running CoolBook. Without CoolBook, I imagine it would be around 80C.

Running WoW on low/good settings in full screen in OSX usually gets me to about 80-85 degrees, with the fans at the max 6500rpm.

Much better than my old MacBook pro (mid 2010 i7) though, which got up and over 100 degrees quite easily when playing WoW.
