I’ve got a 2020 Pro but these new M1 iPads look amazing. What does everyone think about gaming? Well I even need a PS5 with iPads this powerful?

I’m laughing over here at you comparing it to ps5. Let me know when iPad has last of us 2 or something (not that it isn’t capable of running it from the performance perspective)

Are games even taking advantage of the current a14 chipset? it’s hard to take Apple iPad gaming seriously for performance when there aren’t many games that rival consoles. I love pubg mobile but the graphics really aren’t much to write home about. So I personally woul use gaming to justify a purchase of the 2021 12.9 iPad pro.

The iPad's biggest drawback for gaming (for me) is not it's horsepower but it's form factor. It's just too small to be immersive no matter how good the graphics are. It's not a device you can really play together on i.e. 2 people side by side.

Granted the Nintendo Switch screen is smaller but you hold it with both hands, that is tough with the iPad - you have to use a controller with it then it becomes a screen not a hand held device.
