I recently managed to get a bootable Windows 10 on a portable SSD running and have been playing a bit of Battlefield 1 on the 15" 2016 MBP 2.9/460. The fans run around 4000rpm, with temperatures around 80C.
I was wondering if running it in clamshell mode hooked to a 27" Apple Cinema Display would run any cooler due to the lower resolution? I'd have to pick up two adapters to get this to work.
