Say I hook my MBP up to a, say 50" plasma HDTV, and use a wireless mouse and keyboard, how would the performance be? Im thinking of playing a game that was released 2002 so it is not hardcore. Elder Scrolls III : Morrowind.

I just tried my MBP with my 37" 1080p LCD and Halo. It worked, until I tried getting full 1080 video on it. This could be that I am not playing off of the actual CD, but an image of it instead.

That being said, I noticed no lag, slowdown, tearing, anything.

If you're running the image from the MBP's HDD (assuming you have a 5400rpm) then yes, you would get a bit of lag, at least *I* do (not when using an external HDD, or the actual CD though).

To the OP: It will most probably work, I've played Half-Life 2 (a graphically more intensive game than Morrowind) on a 1920x1200 display, and it runs well (40-60 fps, all maxed i believe).

to the computer..the resolution is the only thing that matters. If you had a 100" tv that ran at 1024x768..the comp would only render 1024x768..just the pixels would be huge. That being said..1080i is 1360x768 and 1080p is 1920x1200.
