hey guys, so obviously , garageband 11 came with my 2011 iMac but iv noticed that only several loops are installed and it tells me to start a 1.6 GB download from apple for the remaining loops, are the loops not included on the Disc that came with the iMac or something? i dont feel like downloading a 1.6gb file right now from the interent if i can install it from a disc, i checked on the disc but it was only the installation for garageband itself, not only the loops.

thanks

As far as I know the only way you can get the full loop packs is by downloading them from :apple:That's what I did, you should do it to. Easiest way and it's the way it's meant to be.

Not really the best forum to ask this question in (Digital Audio is meant for these kinds of questions). But...

Google says you should be able to put in the DVD and install the "Additional Loops" in the GarageBand installer. Or just download the update.

Additionally, if you want to buy even more loops (i.e. Jam Packs), those can be purchased: http://www.apple.com/ilife/garageband/jam-packs.html Third parties also sell loops.
