Wow, you have some serious iLife06 issues! I just installed 06 over 05 yesterday, and other than replacing my firefox dock icon with a giant questionmark, I haven't had any problems... that I know of... of course, in iPhoto it's asked me now at least 4 times to "rebuild thumbnails", to which I always click "OK", it does that, and then, next time I open it, it asks for the same thing again, sigh.

I don't know what to say about your garageband problem. I rather think the problems are much deeper. Something isn't right with your entire 06 suite. Do you have access to another mac? I suppose there's a remote chance there's something wrong with the iLife disc itself (highly unlikely), but at least you'd know. If you have an external HDD, maybe you should just back up your data, and nuke the system. Then reinstall tiger, update the whole system, check the integrity of your HDD, install your apps, install iLife06, repair all permissions, import your data, and see how it goes. Seriously, it'll take awhile, but it's better than being aggravated on a daily basis. Anyhow, that's all IMHO, and YMMV. Good luck!

well iphoto is working well now after i had to manually change like everything and delete about 3000 pictures (but i have those back home)....it installed fine on my external drive....i think it just caused my comptuer to freeze at the end of install, and that messed up the installaltion......i think i can still use garageband fine, but everytime i open it, i get that message....
