Garageband to Itunes---wont send as a RINGTONE??

i have the newest versions of Itunes and GB.

I drag and drop a song into gb, loop the portion i want (less than 40 sec)...
but when i go to the SHARE menu, send SONG to itunes is my only option..which creates a playlist and puts it in my music library...

where is the send RINGTONE to itunes option??

EDIT: I notice this is for GB 4.1.1-----My GB says 3.0.4 however when i check for updates it says i have the current version.....hmm

Are you running Leopard with iLife '08? If you're still running iLife '06 that could be your problem.

You don't have Garageband 2008. You have GB 2006. The reason software update says you have the latest version is because 2006 to 2008 is a paid upgrade, so you can't just update 2006 via software update.
