Garish Icons

Has anyone tried LiteIcon 3.6.3 with Sierra? My eyes cannot take the garish icons.

liteicon fix: DL latest version (which you have...)
Right-click to show the package content
Go to Contents, Resources and copy, paste and change the name from IconData_10.11.plist to IconData_10.12.plist. Open it and search and change all 10.11 to 10.12.

then, reboot into recovery, open terminal, disable sip (google this if you need to); make your changes, log out, log in. confirm your changes, then again boot into recovery, and re-enable SIP.

Thanks for the quick reply. Will try that later today when I have the time, those icons have got to go! (Maybe let the designer go as well? or at least give the Users some options)
BTW, the latest version of cDock works after a 2nd reboot! Yeah!!

BTW, Do you know what the terminal command is in Sierra to repair permissions? (long story, font related and Onyx for 10.12 isn't out yet)?
To repair permissions in OS X 10.11 we could use the following command in the Terminal:
sudo /usr/libexec/repair_packages --repair --standard-pkgs --volume /
but in Sierra that produces an error message "command not found".
arghhh...

Do device icons only refer to hard drives or is it a wider category? (I'm not going to disable SIP right now to check those options...)

You can still Get Info on a drive and drag a new icon on top of it in Sierra, so if Apple allows that behaviour without constraint, it is hard to see why Liteicon warns against it unless it is how the app makes those changes.
