After excitedly booting up garry's mod 10 via crossover on macbook, i was distraught to discover that no text (aside from the very opening menu) will display, nor will any of the tools.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Anyone fancy venturing a solution?
cheers..

common problem with source based games in crossover.

i posted this previously:
you should be able to fiddle with the TF2 alpha mod for this. Here is what I got off the HL2/Portal site on crossover, but i changed it to include gmod

If the text is not displaying in your menu's, ou need to use the team fortress 2 alpha hack described here: http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibi...rum=1;msg=7319 Basically, run regedit from the command line and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\AppDefaults\hl2.exe\Direct3D, and change the tf2_alpha_hack key to be "-game tf2; -game ep2; -game portal; -game garrysmod". This will make add portal, ep2 and garry's mod to the list of executables this hack is invoked for.

hmmm... would that be entered ingame, or from the command line tool in crossover? Also, I'm using CS:S as the source engine.

the source engine is used in all current valve branded games. Also, it is using the commend line tool that you will find in the bottle management page for crossover
