I gave my iPhone to my dad and he put his sim card in and has been using it since. He doesn't have a data plan but he's put his contacts on the phone and it's trying to sync with my MobileMe account and erase most of my contacts.

I feel stupid about this and I'm sure it's something obvious I'm missing but what does it take to get the iPhone to stop trying to sync with my MoblieMe account? I don't want to turn off MobileMe syncing on my home and work Macs. I just need the iPhone to stop.

Change your password or restore the iPhone.

I thought you just had to delete the .me account in settings. Did you already do that?
