I saw this, they had threaten this legal action would take them into it, Perhaps they should have rethought the stories they write about. Its not the first time they were sued or people complained about them.

I read a follow-up on this article stating that the Chapter 11 move is to stave off Hulk Hogan's lawsuit. Gawker isn't broke; they just don't want to pay Hogan.

I read somewhere they don't have 100 million in assets, and their income is dropping given all the negative press. Thy're using Chapter 11 to find a white knight and that appears to be ziff davis.
