I am installing windows xp onto my mac pro, does anyone know how many gb i will need for partitioning my windows with my mac os x, I am thinking 32 gb will be enough but i will be using 3d drawing programes at a later date so may need more space and am wondering if its best to create the space now or later - if its easy to do!!

GB required to run autocad through windows on mac

It's very hard to edit the partition later on without a wipe and reinstall of Windows. Having said that, XP can fit on a 4 gig hard drive. I don't think Autocad is more then 4 gigs either, so minimum is 8 gigs. double that for a good amount (16), and then double it again (32) and you have your extra space.
32 sounds good to me. If you think you'll use XP for anything besides Autocad, I might even make it larger, since hard drive space is so cheep anymore.

antony.r.gibbon, I was just wondering if you had gone ahead and setup Windows XP and autocadd on your computer? How is it working for you? What version of Autocadd are you using? I'm asking because I cadd drafting consulting and currently use ArchiCAD for all of my work, but I'm looking into getting setup with autocadd to make myself more marketable. Let me know how it works.
