hi,

With my new iBook G4 [Tiger]; I installed Fink smoothly on it for the first time a few days ago. After installing it [and I rebooted my comp]; I decided to apt-get a few pkg's [i'm familiar with linux]. When I did so, I received the following error:

Code:
Can't exec "gcc": No such file or directory at /sw/lib/perl5/Fink/VirtPackage.pm line 538.
/usr/libexec/gcc/darwin/ppc/3.3/cc1plus is not executable!

However, the software still installs fine, to my knowledge, after that.
I searched on google, and found this - http://www.macosx.com/content/faq.php/q7213/Os-X-104-Running-Fink.html

As stated in that post, I issued the command:
Code:
 sudo gcc_select 4.0
and received the same error that he did.

I tried to locate xdarwin, and it couldn't be found on my system either. I don't know if I should just leave this error alone, or fix it now, so it doesn't break something else in the future.

regards,
will.
