Geek Squad at Best Buy are not Geeks!

Can someone tell me if I need more memory here: I am on a Imac desktop 2008; 2GB ram/800 MHz. As of recent, I have been getting the beach ball syndrome. I did the typicals. Used Onxy, repaired permissions etc.

Went to BB to speak w/ one of their Geeks-no luck; he was a knucklehead!

u should have seen the apple genius when i told him what i was going to do with my time capsule for my mac mini and macbook pro. he asked what screen i had hooked up to my mini i told him a 42 in tv and a 17 in vga crt screen for dual screens he asked my specs on my mini told him it was the late 09 model with the 2.53ghz he said its faster than the new on i told him it evened out with the new gpu in the 2010 model. then him i was going to back up both my computers to the time capsule and i was going to extend the storage on the time capsule with a couple of 2.5in drives i have lying around and hooked up to its usb port it threw him for a loop he did not know that u could hook it up that way.
