just in case anyone didn't want to install any of the options or just want to do something easier, the latest update to Geekbench now can identify your chip.

"Motherboard: N66MAP" on mine translates as iPhone 6S Plus TSMC.

mAP = TSMC
AP= Samsung

Additonally, 66 or 71 refers to the model. (6S or 6S Plus)

Edit: Been told this is old news but there we are anyway!

The score may be lower than normal as I have a lot of apps open, bluetooth headphones in too.

OK. From next generation iOS 10 will lock developers from gathering motherboard version number, just like iOS 9 disallow developers gathering process info.

Have a TSMC version :)

This is the second 6S Plus I have had, exchanged first one due to dead pixels. I now wonder what the first one device I got had under the hood :D

Someone I know has a 6S and they just have AP at the end, not MAP or MP like you said. What does that translate to?

The difference is minimal and you have to be fairly consistent in order to notice anything, it is about 3% difference if I remember rightly with regards to the battery. Either way you need to be direly naive to send it back over the Samsung chip xD
