No apps, running, although NOT after a fresh reboot.

In comparison, MacBook Pro 17" Santa Rosa 2.4ghz Core 2 Duo, 4gb ram. is 3172.
Good news though, MBA scored higher than PowerMac Dual-Core G5 2.5ghz.

That's certainly disappointing but also something to expect. I believe the Macbook Air appeals to people that don't need much power when on the road. I prefer to have a Macbook or Macbook Pro than a computer that its main advantage is its thiness...

I've seen a lot of good comparisons between the SSD and MDD models. But does anyone know how the SSD itself compares with the better reviewed and tested models from Mtron and MemoRight? Particularly with regard to read/write speeds. I realize that this isn't a practical comparison because they will probably not ever be run on the same systems, but it might shed some more information on just how well (or badly) this particular SSD performs...

First of all, the only dual core 2.5 GHz G5 is G5 Quad.

Secondly, gotta love those synthetic benchmarks...

Right, they must have meant dual processor 2.5.

Also agreed about the synthetic benchmarks. I don't believe an air is really faster than a dual 2.5 G5. Even if the processor is faster, which I doubt, it still doesn't have a 3.5" HD or a dedicated graphics card. Not to mention that the air maxes out at 2 GB RAM and the G5 can take up to 8 GB.
