GeForce 8600M GT (128MB) vs. GeForce 8600M GT (256MB)

Hello, I know it might be too early to ask this question. But, does anyone have benchmarks comparing these two video cards? I'm aware that the chipset matters more than the amount of VRAM, however I believe it is the most crucial issue between the low-level and mid-level MBPs. This video card is the $500 dollar question. Personally, I'm worried that the 128mb will be antiquated in a few years and unable to render complex textures. Really, I'm asking from this forum's experience, "How much of a difference does 128mb of VRAM make, and is it worth the extra 500 clams?" Thanks a lot and if someone has benchmark info, post!
