This is an updated question about a multiple video card setup I'm going to be running on one of the newer Mac Pros. We're going to be running multiple video projectors, and using either three or four of the PCI slots to pump as much video content out of one tower as we can.

I had pretty much decided to go with a system using two 5770s and one GT120 graphics cards. Then as I was looking at performance ratings on barefeats, I realized that the GeForce 8800 GT seems to have significantly higher performance than the GT120 while not still not using any external power, which is exactly what I need.

So... anyone have any experience tucking a GeForce 8800 GT into one of the newer Mac Pros? Is there any reason I shouldn't use it, instead of the GT120?

EDIT - Nevermind. I just did some more searching and discovered that this card does require external power. That was not indicated on the two or three links I followed when I first had the idea. Please ignore this thread.
