I downloaded an app called iMeter. It's just for fun, it lets you "fool" people into thinking your iPhone is actually measuring something. You slide a control to make the intensity of the sound change.

It would be great if there was a similar app but made to sound like a Geiger counter.

I'd pay £0.59 for one :)

Have a look at "Any-O-Meter" US$0.99 (about equivalent to what you are willing to pay.)

You can make your own meters and the sound ticks like a Geiger counter (they have a Radiation Detector preprogrammed.) You control it by altering the tilt of the iPhone which is more subtle than using the slider.

No connection to the developer; I just think it is fun.

Thanks, that's great. It was 59p too

Much better idea using the tilt to control the intensity rather than a screen slider.

I shall have some fun with that tomorrow :)

geiger counter

I know it's an old topic, but you can check an app called "PipClock".
It has a geiger counter with sounds and a lot of eye candies.. also some other functions like an analog compass, weather info, calendar and stuff like that (it's something like the PipBoy from Fallout for iPhone)
