I have been looking at the Gela skins to cover my new macbook air when it arrives this week hopefully!!!! But not sure if I should protect the top with a skin from http://www.gelaskins.com/store/skins/laptops/13_inch_Apple_MacBook_Air_2nd_Gen

I have a sleeve on the way to put it in anyhow, I just thought I would look at these aswel. My wife says it makes it look cheap, while my son says Cool.

I know its all personal opinion, however it's nice to get some other opinions from other users.

So cheap or cool, or something else....

Thanks...

I got a simple dark rosewood skin (decalgirl.com) for my MBA and absolutely love it. One, it adds a distinctive flare, and doesn't scream "I have an Apple product sitting on the table to steal". Half the time it blends in with the wood desks I put it in.

Fairly pleased with it for now.

A lot of them have a little too much flare. I think fake wood is pretty bad way to go. So it's a matter of opinion. Do what you think looks good.

Wowww, Frank Miller skins!

It's your MacBook, you can customize as you please. I personally get tired of things like these very quickly, and I would never want to distract anyone's eyes from the MacBook Air itself. I can't even bring myself to cover it in clear film.

I remember getting a free skin when I got my VAIO a few years ago, and custom-designed a sweet Spider-man skin. But I took it off a week later despite getting nothing but compliments, because I found it too childish.

As long as you can stay optimistic and say "well, it was good while it lasted" even if you keep it for just a week, it's all good!

Well it arrived today:D....yes, and It is fantastic....Thanks for the comments, but I'm going to leave it oh natural.... Although I might get a clear cover for where your hand rests when typing, I have to take my watch off, I feel very conscious of typing and scratching the metal..
