I have just purchased Airpods, Gen 3, and while they have excellent sound, on my 2015 Macbook Pro, and my iPhone 12 Pro Max, on my Windows 11 Laptop, they cut out, and are absolutely horrible to try to listen to a podcast, youtube video, apple music, anything. They cut out with static, etc.

I have tried the "fix" of removing the airpods in the Device manager, and resetting the airpods, etc, but that only lasted a day.

Tell me, is there a fix for this, or do I have to return these, and revert back to my series 1 Airpods?

TIA

Isnt there something about disabling the mic on the airpods while you are using them for music?

So on your laptop, go into sound settings, find microphone and test the airpods while using your internal / laptop microphone. See if that changes something, maybe
