I realize there's a couple of threads regarding the Crysis 2 demo, but I'm curious as to how well your mac performs in other games.

I just got a new iMac 27" i7. I've been watching a couple of videos on youtube of other guys allegedly playing with the same machine as me, but with far better results.

The guy in the first video with Cryris-gameplay has 8GB of RAM. I guess that will boost the performance a bit, but I can't get it to run nearly as good as that even in 1600x1280.

In Bad Company 2 I can run 2560x1440, but I'm getting really low FPS. Less than 20..

So I was wondering: What are your experience in different games. Please also post your specs.
I'm running win7 64bit.

I have no idea how he manages the Crysis game at max like that. Even with high overclocking my mid 2010 i7 iMac with 8GB of ram hits about 15fps with those settings.

I have a youtube channel specifically for benchmarking games on the iMac 2010 running windows 7. Would that be of use?

The link is: http://www.youtube.com/user/itunesn00b

The sort of games I have tested are:

- BulletStorm
- Dragon Age 2
- Dead Space 2
- Mass Effect 2
- Cyrsis
- BFBC2
- Batman AA
- Call of Duty - Black Ops

Not sure if that helps?
Downlaoding Crysis 2 demo on steam to test now.

EDIT, Hang on that last one is one of mine! I can assure you it is authentic! I am running a 20% overclock as per https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/987388/ this gives me a significant boost at 2560, but BFBC2 will slow down in heavy smoke sections.

All my films are FRAPS or offscreen cam. You can trust them 100%.

I'm definitely checking out your youtube channel.
Hehe, the last video is yours? Cool :) Looks much smoother than it does with me, so I'll check out that overclockin-thread. Never done it before but I guess it can't be that hard. What core and memory clock do you run?

Let me know how Crysis 2 went :)

Hi, Nice one. Just uploading Crysis 2 films. I have done one FRAPS and one Offscreen for you.

I run 1075 on the memory and 750 on the GPU, but I am prepared to take the chance. I run the fans high too.

On max settings DX9 I am afraid that Crysis 2 is going sub 30fps a few times at 1080p this will probably be OK on Single Player, but not MP.

I have done 720p films which run 45-60fps
1080p is 30-45fps High settings
1080p is 29-40fps Max settings

I just ordered a Kannex MDP to HDMI adapter and will try this on the HDTV too.
