I got this idea from the new Gmail feature that is designed to prevent drunken e-mails to ex-girlfriends and such. Someone should create an App designed to prevent drunken text messages to certain contacts in the phone from like 11pm to 4am (when the owner is most likely to be drunk).
Here's how it would work: If the user wants to text or call (or e-mail for that matter) a certain contact during the above mentioned times, they would be prompted to answer a series of math problems or simple questions that any sober person could answer, but a drunk person is likely not to be able to answer. For example 44+32 makes perfect sense to a sober person. A drunk person is likely to complain "da*n, my phone is making me do math problems like I'm in algebra. Speaking of algebra, I hate my professor. I sit next to this totally hot girl in that class though so it's ok." Major embarrassment saved because normally he would have just dialed the number to that person.
This would prevent drunk dialing or booty calls and waking up the next morning regretting begging "that hot girl from my floor freshman year" to come to your party so you could try to get with her.
And for those of you that think I'm being sexist, I'm not. Girls do their fair share of "booty calls" and "drunk dialing". This App. would equally benefit both sexes.
There is one major flaw with this plan: It will work too well. People will think it's a great idea when their sober and download it (for a $5 fee maybe). However, after it works once or twice people might get frustrated because "their chances of getting laid are totally decreased" by the App.
Just think of the positive benefits of this.... STDs and unwanted pregnancy would decrease! To all you developers out there, you are irresponsible if you DON'T create this App!
For the record, I'm not promoting promiscuous sex or anything. It's a reality that happens everyday, so don't freak out on me saying that this is morally irresponsible or something...
