Im just about to buy a classic and before I do does anyone know if the 160GB will ever get the genius playlist? If it will in the fuure with a firmware update then ill get the 160gb for the extra storage but if not i think ill get the 120gb.

Apple doesn't currently sell the 160GB new. They only offer the 120GB. So unless you want to buy used or refurbished, buy the 120GB.

And I don't think Apple would make Genius available on older iPod models (which the 160GB falls under). So get the 120 or live without Genius on your iPod.

Ummm, not quite. Right about no longer making 160gb. and that's about it. Glad I got one while the getting was good, 120 would not hold all of my music.

But...

a. You can still create a GPL on your computer and sync it to your iPod (any ipod) just as you would ANY PL. What you can't do is create one or edit one on your ipod classic or older devise like you can on an iphone/touch.

b. The 160 counts as a 'classic' and should not be left out if a firmware upgrade is issued; and
