Genius playlist

A friend of mine is running 5.1.1 and had the option for the genius playlist. I cant seem to find how to turn this on. Anyone know?

To get Genius Playlists, open the Music app and look for Playlists. Under Playlists is an option for Genius Playlists.

I don't have that option. I did some more research and it looks like you only get the genius option if you have iTunes match
