Genmoji broken?

Not that it ever worked well. But WHen trying to create a genmoji, no matter what I type or who I choose I want a genmoji made from, it always uses the same person. Always, 100% of the time. If I say make a genmoji of me, it is of this one particular contact and NOT me. Anyone else having this issue?

Edit: I'll leave this here for anyone else with the problem in case someone has a solution. For me, apple is the problem. Turned off apple ignorance because it is buggy and useless like the rest of ios18. And like all other features apple will let it run down into a pile of useless **** like it has with the mail app and so many other bugs that get left to fester for multiple generations of the OS. These two short stints with apple have been eye opening. Apple is just a polished turd. Android, I've missed you and I will be back soon.......

i cannot even see the genmoji interface. a website says, "reset all settings". not sure i want to do that, unless some say, this is the only way to make it work...
