Hi All
I have a nice shortcut which sends a predefined text message to a mobile (from my iPhone) , waits 2 minutes and then sends a second text. The recipient is my automated gate so the result is to open the gates, delay and then close the gates.
I'd LOVE to add a trigger to this shortcut based on my location such that when I approach home the gates open for me.
I can use geo location in IFTTT but cant find a way to trigger the shortcut.

Any hints or solution gratefully received

Thanks in Advance

What’s IFTTT?
Shouldn’t an “Arrive” automation do what you’re locking for?

Although, thinking about it, I think that still requires you to run the shortcut.
With this “Arrive” automation it doesn’t run the shortcut itself but prompts you in your device to confirm to run it.
As of right now there is no way to have location based shortcuts run without any kind of confirmation.

Thanks. Thats kind of where I got to also.... maybe someone knows a magic way :)

I forgot to answer your question.... sorry. IFTTT is "If This Then That" which is a fun tool which basically takes a trigger (If this ) and runs an Action (That). e.g. "If I enter an area then send a mail+ turn a light on" or loads of other stuff. Well worth looking into for automation. Unfortuately it does seem to support either triggering a Shortcut (for the reasons you give I guess) or sending a text from your phone.....
