Has any one played around with geo tagging pictures?? If so, can you please tell me how to use it?!! I know that sounds vague...but I really know very little about the topic.
if you allow the camera to use location services, it puts the lat / lon in the EXIF data of your photos.
take some pics outside, then sync to iphoto -- then do a 'get info' on the photo, the lat / lon are in the EXIF data.
as soon as you email a photo, the EXIF data gets stripped, so you can't send to flickr yet and keep the geotag in place. apple knows about this problem.
There's really not much you have to do manually. You just let the camera use your location data and it embeds that data into your images by default.
I've noticed that the app AirMe (it's free) inputs the info for you when it uploads to flickr, but ShoZu does not. I emailed the guys at ShoZu and they informed me that this will be added in the next update (which they said is due "soon") Also, if you just upload a picture to Flickr from your computer that you took with your iPhone, the EXIF data says it was taken with an Apple iPhone, but it doesn't place it on the map like AirMe does.
