Hi -

My kids and I love to do geocaching. does anybody know if you can enter coordinates into the search field of maps on iphone and have it come up as a location?

before you tell me to try it myself i am not sure how you enter coordinates (the format) so I don't know how to do such a thing.

Anybody ?

example:

34 16 00N 119W

Maps converted it to: 34.266667, -119.000000

or

34.xxxN 119.xxxW

or
+/-34.xxx +/-119.xxx (where + lat is N, and + long is E)
edit: default is N or E, so you only need to add a minus (-) for south lat or west long
