Well the title says it all. We're going to have a party for the world cup! So I'm wondering what we can do. We want to be able to record everything but unfortunately my dad's DVD recorder is, well, less than satisfactory. I just got the email from Apple but their web site desn't say a lot. They have them digital TV tuners for £69 and on the web site it has a picture of the TV picture and behind it a picture of Front Row. But it says it has MyTV2 or something. So now I'm confused. Does this thing integrate with Front Row??? Also, how would this work with a Sky box (and in the future, a Sky HD one)?

Thanks!

They don't integrate with Front Row (unless there's some funky way to get it to work with iTunes), but I'm not sure why that's a problem. The software - EyeTV 2 - lets you view full-screen, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Buy the tuner that uses the best signal available to you (here in the States, if you have the appropriate antenna, that would be HDTV-quality, but for most it'd be the standard NTSC def you get over cable).

If you get a Mac Mini and EyeTV2, that should do you just fine - you can watch and record Freeview using this. The EyeTV for DTT will cost you £99 but it's well worth it. HOWEVER make sure you either have a decent digital-capable aerial, or you live very close to the transmitter, because the aerial that comes with the EyeTV is rubbish.

I'm not sure a Sky box will put out a signal that EyeTV will understand.
