Hey folks, Get a quality case for your phone. Not cheap silicon or 8 dollar Walmart trash. My wife and ride MT’ Bikes and last night we decided to go for a ride in our neighborhood. We were about 3 miles in and I misunderstood where she wanted to go. My screw up. Well at about 15 mph I ran into her my bike being a 29 inch tire and hers being 26 I went up her back tire then flew to the right. I remember coming off my bike and seeing pavement coming up at my face fast. Then slamming into the pavement hard. I saw my wife get control and not wreck that was amazing. But my bike went sliding and rolled. It’s ok just some battle scars. Now me. My iPhone 11ProMax was in my right front pocket of my shorts. I landed on my right front side. My right forearm is hamburger meat now. I dislocated my right shoulder. My palms are bad. Then the right hip. I have a semi rectangular bruise that’s bigger than but most definitely from landing on my phone. My shorts have a tear on the front pocket. My phones condition? 100% fine. Not a scratch, crack, bent or anything. I typed this on it. I have an Otterbox Defender case on it. Yes they are bulky but if allowed my phone to come out of last night 100% ok then it should survive anything. So get a quality case. And I am going to lay down and rest up. I feel like I was run over. 😵‍💫

People can have an skewed sense of value. They will willingly spend hundreds on a phone or tablet yet resent spending more than a few bucks on a proper case to protect their expensive device. Might as well just wrap it in newspaper.

So sorry to hear about your accident. Sounds very painful! Hope your wife is doing ok too. And good advice about the case. Get well soon.

Thanks man.... I am sore as hell. My hip is very painful, and my neighbor who is an ER nurse thinks in addition to all the other stuff a bruised some ribs. My wife was fine. And that's amazing. I would feel awful if I had hurt her.

That's a nice neighbor to have indeed. Sounds like you're going weather it out and not see your doc, but it's going to be some rough days ahead. Hope you can get the rest you need. Glad you've got your iPad to keep you company.
