It seems that quite a few people are having various problems with some third party apps causing crashing, other data problems etc. This may be a problem with the current rev of the iPhone system software, current iTunes rev. No one seems sure at this point.

Myself, all my 3rd party apps crash now. All of them. Resident apps seem fine (fingers crossed). My thought is to get all the third party apps off there by manually deleting, and then doing a full restore (again) or maybe a reformat, as has been explained in another thread. And then maybe waiting till this gets solved before putting them back on the iPhone.

My question is, can I redownload these apps again without being charged for them? Anybody find a way to do that? My guess is you need to contact each vendor individually.

Yes, you can redownload them at no charge. Just click buy app again and you'll get a nice little reminder that you've already purchased the app and that it will be free to redownload it.

I have done this a number of times with problem applications.

Thanks MB! Do you know if this will work after you've reset and or reformatted your the iPhone? I'm hoping the purchase info is kept with the vendor, and not on the iPhone.

thanks!
