Upgrading from a 2019 16" 32GB / 2TB / i9 2.6 machine.
Whilst its been a great machine, the fans spin up with even the slightest hover towards Safari 🤣
Looking forward to the new screen and 120hz, picking up a Samsung 2TB SSD tomorrow as well, don't need the speed, just need to move some files off this one.
I did ponder over both the memory and also the screen size, but with already having a 16", along with the added benefits of thermals/speakers/screen, I think it's going to be a great machine for the next 5 years or so.
Saved £1k on the new price what it was 2 years ago too, I should have waited 12 months and just got this one, but who knows what's round the corner? Apple could release M4 next year with twice the performance over M1 - Made sense to go with the M1 Pro as the M2 and M3 offer little performance per £ difference.
At least I'll have no Touch Bar trying to burn me anymore, just got the hassle of selling this immaculate machine (as are all my tech products).
Should be a decent upgrade considering the ~£600 it's cost me! (or will cost me give or take)
