is a state of mind.
So I don't currently have a cell phone. I'd like an iPhone, but I'm willing to wait as long as I need to until they are 3G. In the meantime, however, I would like to get the cheapest AT&T phone that syncs with iCal. If a 3G iPhone is announced in June then I'll just buy the new iPhone, if it takes longer then I'll just wait. So, two questions?

1) Any harm in signing up with AT&T now, then getting an iPhone later. It sounds like it would just reset my two year contract obligation. Any other drawback?

2) What is the cheapest AT&T phone that is currently available and works with iSync?

So I went ahead and got a cheap AT&T phone and plan. I've got 30-days to return everything. Anyone think this is a bad plan?

it's the plan i'm using with the intent of selling the cheap phone when i get the iphone... i think it's the smartest plan financially for those that really want an iphone and will be new AT&T customers
